What qualifications do I need to work for you?
You don't need any qualifications. We have a range of jobs to suit everyone from general work to semi and more highly skilled roles.
How do I get employment with your company?
Just call one of our offices. You can dial the number free from your cell phone 0800LABOUR or 0800522687 and speak to anyone of our friendly staff about employment.
Do I need to bring anything to the interview?
Yes, you will be required to bring a copy of your driver's licence and proof of your ability to work in New Zealand. This should be a valid work permit, New Zealand passport or birth certificate. You should also bring your bank account number and Inland Revenue (IRD) number. If you have a CV you should bring this also along with proof of any other qualifications or work experience you may have.
Do you employ people with criminal convictions?
As a general rule all our crew must have a clean criminal record. If you have any convictions for dishonesty, theft or violence your employment application may be rejected.
I don't drink but I do take drugs on the weekends. Will this affect my chances of employment with Allied Work Force?
Yes. Health and Safety is of the utmost importance to us and we cannot afford to employ people who take drugs.
How much do I get paid?
Pay rates will vary depending on the particular job and the skill and experience of the worker. Before you accept an assignment you can ask the operations controller what the pay rate will be. You do not have to accept an assignment if you don't want it.
How often do I get paid and how do you know what hours I have worked?
Wages are processed weekly. You will be issued a timesheet which you are required to bring into the office no later than 11.00am the following Monday. This should also be signed by the client confirming the hours worked. Your wages will go into your bank account on a weekly basis, normally Wednesday midnight.
Do you provide any sort of training?
Yes, we provide Site Safe training and Traffic Control training. The crew are required to contribute to the cost, but Allied Work Force will organise the trainer and venue. Some branches also facilitate other training including forklift certificates. We also have a separate training facility Allied Technical Training (ATT) for school leavers.
